Please join us for Curt and Jordan's farewell. We want to thank Pastor Curt for his guidance to OVCC and to wish him and Jordan the very best as they step out in faith in the next part of their life's journey.
There is a limit of 120 persons for the room that we have reserved at the Hokkaido Buffet----so please sign up early. Cost for the meal is (includes tax, tip, and drinks):
- $20 for adults
- $10 for children ages 6-10
- $8 for children ages 2-5
Deadline for signup is September 10. Please submit payment for the dinner in the form of cash or a check payable to OVCC with memo line "Curt's farewell dinner" to Pauline H Wong or Minnie Gee by September 10.
Additionally, a group love offering is being collected for Curt and will be given to him at the farewell dinner. If you would like to contribute, please write a check to OVCC with a note in the memo line "for Curt" and provide in the offering plate by Sunday, September 17. Cash contributions should be put into an envelope with "for Curt" on the envelope. Note: This contribution will not be tax deductible. If desired, you can also provide a love offering directly to Curt.
We are also planning a surprise gift book for Pastor Curt. Over the years, you may have some special memories of your time together that you might want to share with Curt and Jordan or you may want share a note of "thanksgiving and appreciation". An 8.5x11 memory book will be put together with your notes and possibly a picture that you might want to share. Each family or family member may do an 8.5x11 page (one-sided). You may decorate as you like. If you need decorative papers or card stock, Lisa and Pauline H will have some available along with instructions this Sunday and the next few Sundays. If you prefer, you can come on Sunday, Sep 3 at 11:10 AM to Mike and Mae's home to spend a little time to work on your page. Supplies will be provided. If you plan to come to Mike and Mae's on Sep 3, please email Lisa or Pauline H so there will be enough supplies. Please submit your personalized page to either Lisa or Pauline by Sunday, Sep 17.
